Capers

This afternoon Pine capered with Magnolia and Dogwood. We visited Magnolia's room and all of the different materials they had out and even had a chance to climb on the large log out front.  Thank you again to everyone who was able to attend last night! Have a great and safe holiday weekend! See you Tuesday 😊 "I can smell it!" "Haha it doesn't smell." "It's gonna be a big house." "I'm making ice cream!"

Trying New Things

This afternoon the Pine friends tried some new things. Some friends were quite interested in trying to stretch the gak across a new provocation while also sticking to what they worked on yesterday. We also took time outside exploring the garden. The kids smelled different herbs and even got to try some raspberries!  "Look, it goes like this." "I'm trying to stretch it. I want it to go here and here." "I'll put this piece here. You take this to make it stay." "Look you just do it like this so it stays on." "I push it together." "It's going down!"

Gak!

Today the Pine kids continued their exploration of gak and the many different things it can do. Each child found different ways to explore with the gak. Some used animals and tried to cover them up, while others found that letting it drip over the stick was an interesting way to play with it.  "Look, the bear is covered in mud." "It's stretching!" "It's all going down!." "It's a snake! SSsssss." "I have to cut my pizza."

Run & Crash

Happy Monday! As we head into the third week of school (can you believe it?!) the Pine friends are continuing to practice stop & go. Today many of the kids took turns building up towers and then as a group crashing into the blocks. They also tested their super hero skills and crawled, jumped, and ran to beat the obstacle course. We also worked on two more magic words: want & more.  "Look! It's a window!" "HELLO!" "Let's knock it down." "Hurry, we have to get them!" "They're crashing!"
