AFC PINE PM

Hey there Pine friends! It was a great day to finish out our week. Our family was missing a few members and we wished them well. Please enjoy the long holiday weekend and stay healthy! Thursday is backpack day, make sure to check out what's inside! 

 Happy Wednesday Pine Family!  Our friend Ms. Amy joined us today for large group/circle time! She read us a story about things that GO and then we took turns making things GO down the tube! A big thank you to Louie's family for gifting us with some wonderful items for our classroom! The kids were so excited to open them up and start exploring.

Pine Family is rocking and rolling in week 2! Find an opportunity to practice STOP and GO at home! Friendly reminders: Water bottles should only come to school filled with water (it's the best for our bodies and in case another student would accidently take a sip it won't cause harm), sunscreen should be applied before drop off (there is not a lot of shade and not a lot of time for us to get the kiddos all lathered up), and bug spray should be applied before drop off (this is mostly needed when we start going to the forest on Tuesdays, starting on Sept 12th). **If your kiddo is in a different room in the am before coming to us, we will make sure to reapply for you!) Thanks :)

Welcome back Pine friends! Today we were introduced to our words of the week: STOP and GO (ask your kiddo first if they remember what they are!) and will be using those words during our games, dancing, invitations at centers, and in our story time. We continued with our same invitation activities: beans in the sensory table, playdough strengthening our fine motor skills, and our very special kitchen where we can practice all kinds of social play! Since the weather is more friendly, we explored a new space for gross motor time: the snail/mud kitchen (ask your kiddo first if they remember where they went!).  Please make sure to save our blog link so you can check it out daily!  Wow, what a week! The end of our first week together comes to an end, and it flew by! I am so proud of how well everyone has readjusted to a school schedule. Please take time to relax and celebrate this weekend and we will see you Monday!
