Sunflowers

While capering today, Magnolia friends showed us what they have been exploring in their classroom. They have been getting up close and personal with some sunflowers!

"Look it has seeds in it! See they are so little and you can eat them!"
"Yeah, but don't eat the shells."

"It's a little seed. It's so small."

"You can eat them, but I don't like them."

"You need to try them! They are good."

K & W used magnifying glasses to get a better look at the different colored seeds.
"Why are some black and some brown?"
"They aren't all sunflowers. There are different kinds of flowers."

"It's the seeds!"

It's great being able to look at things a little closer, especially when they get to use magnifying glasses!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
