Thankful for Capers

We are so thankful to caper with our friends from Dogwood and Magnolia! Every week the kids of Pine love to be able to play with the others and see what their friends are doing in their classrooms.

Before we started, the boys worked together to try and roll one another in the box. A game that first started out as knock knock, has now transformed into rolling each other in the box.

"It's so heavy! We need everyone's help."

M and F worked together to try and roll L who was inside the box.

With every push, the boys would start giggling and try to push harder.

"It's kind of rolling, but it's still so hard."
They eventually were able to roll L to the end of the carpet and began to clap and cheer as L came tumbling out of the box giggling.

Capers started and the boys ventured off to explore different spaces.

We are so thankful for our friends and playing with one another! Have a safe break!!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Families

My dad has white skin!"  "My mom and I are white, and my dad and sister are really tan!" "My family all has brown skin like me. My mom is a little different brown though. My baby sisters look like me!" We got out the skin tone colored crayons and the kids carefully chose the colors they needed to represent their families.  "I need the tan ones because I am kind of tan and so is my mom. My dad and sister are darker than us so I need to use like a darker brown. I need the black too because they have dark hair. I have brown hair and my mom has like brownish hair but it's also kind of yellow." S worked on her family portrait as well. She, too, noted that she needed different colored cra...
