How Can We Feel Better?

We've been talking a lot about our feelings over the last few weeks and the different facial expressions that often come with those emotions. The kids are doing great at being able to recognize when they feel happy, sad, tired, sick, and angry. Now that most of the kids are identifying their emotions, what can we do next?

Today we focused on what we can do when we do get mad or sad. What can we choose do to make ourselves feel better? This is a question we will continue to talk about over the next week. During small groups, the kids practiced representing feelings using different kinds of materials.

We will continue to revisit our emotions and how we can handle all of those feelings. It will be interesting to see what the kids can come up with over the next week.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
