Falling Blocks

This afternoon S, L, & F worked through their frustrations while setting up the dominoes to knock down. In the video below you can see how the kids were quite determined to have the blocks set up just right in order to knock them all down.

You can see how S looks quite frustrated when all of her blocks fall over after trying to move just one. Her brow wrinkles, but she doesn't let it bother her. She simply picks them back up and begins again.

Tasks like this can be so frustrating, especially when you've been working for awhile to get it done. The kids show a lot of determination to complete a lot of what they want to accomplish, but are often very frustrated or angry when it doesn't go as planned. S demonstrated her ability to work through her frustration and have a satisfying ending.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
