Rainy Day Blues

Good morning, everyone!

I don't know about all of you, but this cloudy weather is really making me feel quite tired and a little stir crazy. As much as I love a good thunderstorm or some rain, I also really love being able to be outside in the sunshine. Unfortunately, I don't think that's in the forecast this week. However, Ms. Margie and Toffee found a way to beat these rainy day blues!

This activity is so easy to create just from some materials you may have at home! Ms. Margie was able to use some extra salt she had in her cabinet, but you could use a number of different things to draw in. You could try sand, shaving cream, or even dry rice!

I wonder what letters you can make? Can you try and spell your name? What about drawing a picture?!

If you want to use rice, and have a lot of it to spare, you can even dye the rice! In the beginning of the year our kids from the afternoon class helped dye the rice different colors using a little bit of rubbing alcohol and some food coloring!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Happy First Day of School 24-25!

Welcome Pine Families to our 24-25 school year! We are so happy to have your kiddos back in our room. It is so amazing to see how much they have grown physically AND socially, emotionally, and academically!

Welcome back!!

I hope you all enjoyed your long break together. We are back at it with our same centers and focus words UP and DOWN. This will be the last week for our current activities and will change it up for the last 2 weeks before our next BIG break. Only 12 days left together for the year and we are counting down!  Please help us celebrate:  Pine’s Friendsgiving Feast! Your kiddos have been hard at work filling each other's buckets through acts of kindness. They earned a special celebration before the Thanksgiving break but we held off our celebration so all friends could participate. Today we read a book called Feast for 10 and were inspired by some ingredients. If you would like to help us celebrate our friendship and donate to our feast, we would love it! Our plan is to celebrate on Thursday Dec 5th. Thanks :) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Zu9-130U8W6xGWiNsdlLMXYA9q8yOASwtSEybrST3Rc/edit?usp=sharing
