Bikes!

Over the last two days both L & J have been asking "when can we ride bikes?!" Well today was their lucky day! Since we are practicing more physical distancing at school, there are only certain days in which we have the opportunity to play with the bikes. Very different than years past! The boys are starting to understand that we do not get to visit the same spaces or play with the same toys every day. A really difficult thing to learn!

Another difficult skill we are working on his coping when losing a game...today, that happened to be racing on bikes.

This is one area that can be extremely hard for anyone! You can see how the boys race on the bikes across the lot, but unfortunately there's only one winner. Both boys worked through some big emotions, but by the end they were back being friends.

After playing on bikes for awhile, we headed inside to do some painting to make some proper 'thank you' cards. Over the summer some very nice friends and family donated lots of different different materials to keep everyone in our classroom healthy and safe. We are SO thankful and need to make sure we let those people know. L & J could not wait to paint some cards. After snack they headed to the the paint table and got started.

Another great day full of adjusting and remembering. As the boys become more comfortable in our new environment at school they will only continue to grow in so many different ways.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
