It Takes Two

Well it took no time at all for O and L to become the best of friends! Today these two have been doing everything together. When leaving to go to the forest, L grabbed O's hand and walked side by side together. I figured as soon as they got to the forest they would go their separate ways, but it was quite the opposite! The two girls stayed near each other and found each other when they weren't. They experienced a LOT together.

L led O into the forest. O looked a little nervous and cautious, but L assured her it was not scary.
"I think there's a bear in here."
"Bears are scary! No bears in here!"
"Okay. Let's look for one!"

"Bears are scary! Rawrrrrrrrr!"

The girls were unsuccessful in finding a bear, BUT that didn't stop their fun. Instead of giving up completely on hunting for something, they started looking for flowers instead!
"We found white flowers."
"I want pink ones!"
"There's some pink ones over their too."
"I have the flowers!"

Before leaving, the girls had one more task... moving a heavy stick. L first approached the stick and picked up one end, but it was too heavy to lift all by herself.
"It's heavy! It's so heavy!"
Hearing L in distress, O ran over and helped pick it up.
Watch the video below to see the two girls working together!

It's always so good to see friendships blossom over time. All four of the kids work quite well together and are beginning to look out for each other. This school family is starting off so strong!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
