Welcome Friends!

 Today was such an exciting day! We had two friends join our class this afternoon and they fit right in. Today L & O took some time to explore the different areas of our classroom as well as get acquainted with the playscape. We spent a majority of our day outside enjoying the sunshine and the breeze. 





L invited his cousin O to join him on the swing! O sat back as L used his legs to propel the swing back and forth. 






L, O, & J used a marble to paint! All three loved being able to rock the tray back and forth and watch the marbles get coated in paint and roll across the paper. 




The girls are such a great addition to our afternoon class! We are so happy our little community is growing one day at a time. Looking forward to the weeks ahead 😊

Digital World

This afternoon the kids settled into different activities after arrival. Some kids found themselves making a whole city with painter's tape roads, some dove into some books to get a good read in, and others tried making all kinds of creations out of legos. It isn't out of the ordinary for the kids to ask if we can play "office."  This pretend play cracks us all up because they are clearly imitating many of the same mannerisms they have seen either at home or at school. They pile stacks of papers next to them, lay out a bunch of markers, and start "typing" away on the out of commission computers we have. They talk about all the emails and notes they have to send. They make phone calls to each other and write copious amount of letters to send in the mail. Hilarious!  Today, I wanted to test out their letter identification as well as their typing skills they have been showing off these last few months. Creek Time

  Happy Tuesday! We spent our entire afternoon out at Larson Park! It was definitely a hot one so when the kids heard we were going to get to play in the creek, they screamed in excitement. Not everyone wanted to stomp around in the shallow water and that was a-okay. Such a fun afternoon splashing around, exploring, and doing a great job sticking together as a class!
