"I'm the Master of Feelings!"

Today we saw some of the best interactions in terms of game play, taking turns, and overall friendship. It was seriously so very sweet! Luckily we caught it all on video for you all to watch too.

We talk about our feelings and how we can deal with the bigger ones (angry, sad, disappointed) quite frequently as well as celebrating the others (happy & calm). The kids have really become very good at identifying how they are feeling and different strategies they can use in order to help calm down or get their bodies back to good feelings. A few weeks ago we introduced a dice containing all different kinds of feelings the kids had to role and act them out. It was a huge hit!

The game has progressed since! Today, the kids used the dice to play a game of charades! It was facilitated by Margie and Jenn who reinforced the expectations of the game when they saw fit. After a few rough rounds and working out some kinks, the kids were ready to play for real. Please enjoy the video below 😊

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Happy First Day of School 24-25!

Welcome Pine Families to our 24-25 school year! We are so happy to have your kiddos back in our room. It is so amazing to see how much they have grown physically AND socially, emotionally, and academically!

Welcome back!!

I hope you all enjoyed your long break together. We are back at it with our same centers and focus words UP and DOWN. This will be the last week for our current activities and will change it up for the last 2 weeks before our next BIG break. Only 12 days left together for the year and we are counting down!  Please help us celebrate:  Pine’s Friendsgiving Feast! Your kiddos have been hard at work filling each other's buckets through acts of kindness. They earned a special celebration before the Thanksgiving break but we held off our celebration so all friends could participate. Today we read a book called Feast for 10 and were inspired by some ingredients. If you would like to help us celebrate our friendship and donate to our feast, we would love it! Our plan is to celebrate on Thursday Dec 5th. Thanks :) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Zu9-130U8W6xGWiNsdlLMXYA9q8yOASwtSEybrST3Rc/edit?usp=sharing
