Process Not Product

Well, we tried to recreate the slime experiment in hopes to make the most perfect slime this school has seen. Unfortunately that didn't happen. We did learn, however, that the kids were less focused on the product and more about the process. Talk about a life lesson! These kids were never really focused on the slime itself, but could not wait to be a part of the process to create the sparkly green slime.

I think for us teachers it really put some things in perspective. We are often looking for an outcome and want to see some sort of progress to see a goal. Today, we learned a valuable lesson in the process versus the product.

Cherish the journey each child is on. Progress will be made, but enjoy the process too 😊

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
