A Warm Place to Rest

This afternoon the kids jumped back into our short study of the birds and how we can help take care of them. One way they came up with was through bird houses!

"I am warm in my house, birds are cold outside!"

"Birds make nests. I think they use sticks and twigs to make them, but people make them too and they use glue to keep them together."

"Birds will stay warm in here!"

"I think we should take them to the forest next time we go. We can hang them up on some sturdy sticks!"

What a great plan! I do hope we can visit the forest soon, even if it is a walk. So we will continue to make snuggly warm houses for the birds.

I hope you all enjoyed your long break together. We are back at it with our same centers and focus words UP and DOWN. This will be the last week for our current activities and will change it up for the last 2 weeks before our next BIG break. Only 12 days left together for the year and we are counting down! They earned a special celebration before the Thanksgiving break but we held off our celebration so all friends could participate. Can you believe how close to the end we are?! Today we voted on some fun things for the last days of our year together.
