Making Our Own Clouds

Today the boys worked on making our own kind of kindness clouds! As you saw from the blog last week, the kids have been really coming around to being kind and complementing one another. In order to keep the momentum, we wanted them to be more apart of the experience. So today, J & F worked for awhile to create some clouds for our newly created sky in the classroom.

The boys worked side by side either cutting or tearing the blue tissue paper into small rectangular shapes. They carefully laid the pieces onto the white paper below. Once the paper was filled with the different shades of blue, each boy was then able to spray water onto to the paper making a really cool cloudy design on the white paper!

We are creating our own clouds in order to give the kids some responsibility and ownership. We want them to be proud of being kind to one another! Our class has lots of clouds to make so this is probably an activity that will stretch out as the week progresses. I can't wait to see what it looks like dry!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

This isn't the same forest we typically go to, but it is one close by. Join a virtual tour with Ms. Liz! Forest Day- A River Walk Check out the video linked below to see Ms. Liz go on a walk through the forest! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NWt06gYg5trsuNrCugDSR4i7ORTmWwEo/view?usp=sharing On my Forest Day, I went walking on my family’s property in Leasburg, Missouri through the forest right down to the Meramec River. While I saw lots of cool stuff that can be seen in the video such as flowers, deer tracks, and a very beautiful Meramec River, on my walk back to the campsite I saw lots more! During my walk down to the river I saw many different deer footprints. In fact, I followed the deer prints all the way down to the river!  But on my way back I saw prin...
