Clay Birds

You know we have all been talking about birds for the last few weeks. With some failed attempts to begin to construct our own we finally found an art medium the kids really enjoy, clay! We broke open a new tub of clay today and began to explore the many different ways in which we can manipulate the sticky dough to create birds. It was such a great way to start our day before heading off to the sculpture park. L, F, & O were determined to create both real birds they have seen and fake ones they hope they can see one day. Our first round practicing with the clay was successful  and I cannot wait for y'all to see the end products!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
