Sticking Together

In the beginning of the year we tried out an activity to see how the kids would be able to work together to try and build a fort. The activity wasn't as successful as we hoped so we put something like this on pause. It takes a lot of executive thinking to be able to work together, problem solve, and view things from another person's perspective. The kids were not quite ready for such a task back in September, but as they have grown and learned how to work together we decided we would try it out again!

In the video below you can see lots of furrowed brows, many confused looks, but lots of happiness when the goal was achieved! Week to week these kids continue to amaze me with their ability to stick together and create something amazing.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
