Happy Tuesday!

 Happy Tuesday Pine PM Family!

For centers today we could chose to practice using shapes to make pictures called tangrams, we could paint sticks we collected in the forest yesterday that we are going to use for a big ongoing project, we could read in the library or practice our fine motor cutting skills and make pictures.

Today we did some special activities where we had to work together to make something. At group time we made Mat Man. We took straight lines, curved lines, and other items and listened to a song that told us to put the pieces together. When we were finished we had made a person!

We did a special activity in the kitchen today. We worked together pouring and mixing ingredients to make gak! Tomorrow we are going to color it and get to really explore what gak can do!

We played on the lower playscape and way too much fun in the sand! Sorry parents ;)

Our Dogwood friends had a special snack and shared it with us today: ice cream!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

S, who seemed to display a high level of confidence, took a hold of the branch as R handed it to her. She took a deep breath and jumped off the log.  S swung with grace over the ground.  The others watched in awe and quickly lined up to take turns.  Each friend took a different approach and not always quite sure on how to get the same kind of lift and swing S did. W seemed unsure on the whole activity, but was willing to try. He couldn't quite get the desired swinging motion and lost interest after his first try.  L saw how the others were swinging and although a little scared, decided to try several times in a row be...

Creek Time

Happy Tuesday! We spent our entire afternoon out at Larson Park! It was definitely a hot one so when the kids heard we were going to get to play in the creek, they screamed in excitement. Not everyone wanted to stomp around in the shallow water and that was a-okay. Such a fun afternoon splashing around, exploring, and doing a great job sticking together as a class!
