Welcome back from the SNOWPACALYPSE!

Good Afternoon Pine Friends! I hope you all had fun and stayed warm and safe in all the snow that we got. We certainly missed you all! We loved hearing all your stories about snow today. We decided to keep going with the learning we were practicing last week. We are still working on our magic words IN and OUT and our good question word WHO? For centers, we are sharpening our social skills with some game playing with Pop the Pig, working on our motor skills by feeding the snowman, and exploring sorting by color with food. We also got to do a very cool art sensory project where we colored snow! Ms. Kari and her friend Ms. Lara stopped by to play with us today. We had fun exploring the ball wall, big blue blocks and other fun things in the Collaboratory for gross motor play time. For snack we munched on string cheese and Nilla Wafers. We are really getting good at using our good manners saying please and thank you and asking for help opening!

We also welcomed a new friend to our Pine PM Family!!!!! Challenge your kiddo to remember his name :)

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

S, who seemed to display a high level of confidence, took a hold of the branch as R handed it to her. She took a deep breath and jumped off the log.  S swung with grace over the ground.  The others watched in awe and quickly lined up to take turns.  Each friend took a different approach and not always quite sure on how to get the same kind of lift and swing S did. W seemed unsure on the whole activity, but was willing to try. He couldn't quite get the desired swinging motion and lost interest after his first try.  L saw how the others were swinging and although a little scared, decided to try several times in a row be...

Creek Time

Happy Tuesday! We spent our entire afternoon out at Larson Park! It was definitely a hot one so when the kids heard we were going to get to play in the creek, they screamed in excitement. Not everyone wanted to stomp around in the shallow water and that was a-okay. Such a fun afternoon splashing around, exploring, and doing a great job sticking together as a class!
