4/25

Hello Pine Family and happy Monday! Our sign in today was focused on patterns and we had some different science stuff out to explore! We kicked off a few new centers and continued to practice our magic word FEEL. Our word FEEL this week is going to focus on what something FEELS like when we touch it. At the table we were given an item to paint that we will use to make a FEEL collage. (ask your kiddo what shape it was) At the carpet we used some blocks to create with with. Ask your kiddo, "How did the blocks FEEL?" (Hint: they were foam blocks, which are soft compared to our wooden blocks, and smooth.) In the sensory table we had something new that we could FEEL; can your kiddo tell you what it was? (Hint: it is something you see/feel at the beach.) We were so excited to get some time outside in this beautiful weather and explored the somewhat muddy/wet upper playscape.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

S, who seemed to display a high level of confidence, took a hold of the branch as R handed it to her. She took a deep breath and jumped off the log.  S swung with grace over the ground.  The others watched in awe and quickly lined up to take turns.  Each friend took a different approach and not always quite sure on how to get the same kind of lift and swing S did. W seemed unsure on the whole activity, but was willing to try. He couldn't quite get the desired swinging motion and lost interest after his first try.  L saw how the others were swinging and although a little scared, decided to try several times in a row be...

Creek Time

Happy Tuesday! We spent our entire afternoon out at Larson Park! It was definitely a hot one so when the kids heard we were going to get to play in the creek, they screamed in excitement. Not everyone wanted to stomp around in the shallow water and that was a-okay. Such a fun afternoon splashing around, exploring, and doing a great job sticking together as a class!
