It is evident that Spring is in full effect; hopefully these April showers bring May flowers! During our look at the flow of our day/schedule we discussed why we were having indoor gross motor time. I asked why they thought they couldn't go outside and our friends figured out it is because of the rain/mud. Our day started off with a new/different sign-in: ask what shape they colored in! Our magic words continue to be LISTEN and HEAR and our good question word is WHAT? For centers we had art at the table where we painted (but while we waited our turn, we played playdough). At the carpet we had the cars out again and used our imagination and random items to create fun ways to play (challenge your kiddo to tell you what kinds of things they did with their cars). Our third center was the sensory table (challenge your kiddo to talk about what is in it). Our friend Ms. Kari joined us for group time at the carpet where she showed her speech movie and read a book (see if your kiddo can name the animal). To end our day, I read a Spring story where we practiced some rhyming words (challenge your kiddo to say some rhymes).
