Our Final Wednesday.....

Happy Favorite Color Day Pine Family! We are happy to be all together and having some end of the year fun. Today our friends got to celebrate their favorite color with each friend taking a turn on the share circle and letting their friends guess what their favorite color is by looking at what they were wearing! We counted how many items of that color the friend was wearing and our friend Mila had the most with 7! We then had some extra fun by talking about what super power we would want if we were a superhero! For our gross motor time indoors, we were in the Collaboratory and had a Bubble Dance Party! We danced amongst the bubbles to some silly songs.

We also worked on a very special project for our friend who was sad today because she is moving. Our Pine family worked together to make her something wonderful to hang in her new room!

Join us tomorrow for PJ day!! (and our last day 😁😢😵)

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Rainbow Snow!

The Pine kids wrapped up their week with playing in the snow! Unfortunately, it is just a wee bit too cold to be playing outside. I do appreciate all of the kids wearing snow boots, coats, hats, and gloves though! It's helpful for the days in which we do decide to take a quick walk around the block 😊 Instead of playing in the snow outside, we brought it inside! Snow is fun to play in, but we couldn't really build a snowman, throw it around, or make snowballs.. what could we do?! Then it dawned on us, let's paint it! We got out some water colors, eye droppers, and a big pile of snow and the kids went to town. They used their knowledge of mixing colors to create new ones as they dropped them onto the white snow.  "It's so cold!" "Look, look, I am making it pink!" "It's blue snow!" They giggled and laughed as the slow melting snow absorbed the bright vibrant colors. It hardly looked like snow anymore! This was a great way to incorporate...

Celebration!

Happy Monday! Today we started something new before dismissing to go home. Instead of reading a book or shaking our sillies out, we are going to start celebrating our successes for the day! We start off by dancing to Kool & The Gang's "Celebration" and then move into talking about something to celebrate that happened at school. Because it was the first day, it was a little difficult to think of something to celebrate. I imagine by Thursday the ideas will be flowing! Enjoy the dance party from today's first celebration!
