Hello and happy Monday! We are starting off this week with a chilly Fall day! Inside we are toasty while celebrating all things Fall. We are continuing and extending some of our invitations for centers with sensory, fall items and a fun art project. We still have our fall items (pine cones, leaves, and acorns) in the sensory table to explore but we challenged friends to pick an item and carry it across the balance beam, match the item, and then crawl through the tunnel back to the table. Another invitation is to create a Fall scene with magnets, have a leaf party on the carpet, explore lacing and other fun light/shadow activities. Our third invitation is at the table where we explored colors with paint. We mixed 2 colors to make 1 new one; challenge your kiddo to name the colors (blue + yellow = green).
Tomorrow is forest day and we will go and visit but it is sure to be chilly, especially in the shade of the trees. Please dress your child appropriately so that they are comfortable. If you want to keep little fingers warm, mittens are more kid friendly for independence purposes of putting on (as well as for teachers' sanity 😂).
