Happy "Monday"

Wait a second, it's not Monday, it's Tuesday! I hope you all stayed warm and had a fun surprise day off! I am excited to report that our friends jumped right back in today with smiles and remembered the expectations and routines of the Pine room. We continue to practice our magic word PUT and our good question word WHERE throughout out play. We explored oats and animals in the sensory table, making conversation about what it feels like, looks like, smells like, etc. We found hidden animal puzzle pieces and PUT them in the right place. We continued our pet shop/veterinarian imaginary play where we discussed how to care for animals and what supplies animals need.  We also kept working on our tree branch project by letting our friends decorate with items of their choosing.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
