Happy Wednesday!

Happy Beautiful Wednesday! We went with the flow today while our friend Ms. Kari but mad sure to work on our special words HEAR and LISTEN, and our good question word WHAT.  We played our tap big lines song and our friends were like pros listening to what the music said to do. We then took some of the big straight lines that we are familiar with, added some big curved lines and small curved lines, as well as some other shapes, and made a something really special. Our friends stuck together and listened so well that our picture turned out perfect! Ask your kiddo what we made :)

We also had fun taking our learning outdoors today! We had our special group time with our friend Ms. Ann on the lower playscape! One friend was digging in the sand and exclaimed that he had found a bird egg! (It was a rock but he was very certain of what he thought it was and I love what other brains think up.) This friend then suggested that we should put it in the tree so the bird could find it.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Rainbow Snow!

The Pine kids wrapped up their week with playing in the snow! Unfortunately, it is just a wee bit too cold to be playing outside. I do appreciate all of the kids wearing snow boots, coats, hats, and gloves though! It's helpful for the days in which we do decide to take a quick walk around the block 😊 Instead of playing in the snow outside, we brought it inside! Snow is fun to play in, but we couldn't really build a snowman, throw it around, or make snowballs.. what could we do?! Then it dawned on us, let's paint it! We got out some water colors, eye droppers, and a big pile of snow and the kids went to town. They used their knowledge of mixing colors to create new ones as they dropped them onto the white snow.  "It's so cold!" "Look, look, I am making it pink!" "It's blue snow!" They giggled and laughed as the slow melting snow absorbed the bright vibrant colors. It hardly looked like snow anymore! This was a great way to incorporate...
