Monday Funday

Hello Pine Family! This week we are focusing on the words LISTEN and HEAR and our good question word WHAT? It was such a beautiful day that we took our learning outside. Friends were invited to explore their love of animals by painting in an unconventional way: using the animals and making footprints on the paper. We had chalk out for friends to draw their favorite animals as well. Another class had the same thought we did and brought out their sensory table full of water. They are studying snails and some of our friends decided to join in and hunt with magnifying glasses, make snails out of clay, and read books about them. Today we also started on our classroom legacy project: refinishing a piece of furniture. We started by sanding the wood down in preparation for the next stage. Stay tuned to see the progress!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
