it's not over yet

Superhero day seemed like a good idea but to be honest, they didn't last long lol.

Tomorrow for water day! Please send your kiddo already in their swimsuit (with a swim diaper if applicable), water friendly shoes, and lathered with the SPF! We will spend a good part of our day playing outside in the water (think kiddie pool, sprinkler, etc.) but will offer other choices if they need a relaxing break in the shade too. Please supply a towel and don't forget their water bottle! We will have a cool treat in addition to the normal munchie school snack. We will most likely send kiddos home in what they came in, allowing for some time to dry out after the water play. If your kiddo is one that goes somewhere immediately following our class, please ensure you do send dry clothes!

I can't believe that tomorrow is our last official day together this school year. We will miss you much but are so excited for you to enjoy your summer and for the adventures that await you next year!

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

My dad has white skin!"  "My mom and I are white, and my dad and sister are really tan!" "My family all has brown skin like me. My mom is a little different brown though. My baby sisters look like me!" We got out the skin tone colored crayons and the kids carefully chose the colors they needed to represent their families.  "I need the tan ones because I am kind of tan and so is my mom. My dad and sister are darker than us so I need to use like a darker brown. I need the black too because they have dark hair. I have brown hair and my mom has like brownish hair but it's also kind of yellow." S worked on her family portrait as well. She, too, noted that she needed different colored cra...
