Welcome to week #5!

Happy Monday Pine Family! Sometimes it's hard to get our week started with smiles but we made it. This week we will be continuing our word of the week HELP. Our center invitations have changed to support our word of the week learning. For our first area, Creation Station, we introduced a new school tool: scissors! We will practice cutting some straight lines, curvy lines and zig zag lines. We never waste our paper, we will turn it all into beautiful art! When our hands get tired of cutting, we are discovering how shapes can be put together to make pictures that look like animals. In our second area, Explore Galore, we opened up a Veterinarian shop so we can practice HELPing care for animals and continue to explore our small world, now with magnifying glasses. In our third area, Discovery Zone, we thought back to our story, One Duck Stuck, and the animals we met. Those animals are available, along with blocks, so our friends can retell the story, HELP build houses, etc.

**If anyone is looking around their house at things they no longer want, we are looking for some donations. We would love some toy animals, especially ones that look real! (We have a good amount of Zoo/Jungle but would love some more forest, farm, bugs, and unique.) We would also love a small, single person, trampoline to house in our room for various activities and sensory needs. These are not things that we need you to go buy or give up if you actively use them at home.**

REMINDER: tomorrow is forest day!!!! Please try to apply bug spray before school/or at drop off as this helps our process in getting out the door. Many kiddos have rubber boots here that we can put on before our outdoor adventures as needed.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
