Welcome week 6

Happy Monday! We are excited for a new week and some new learning opportunities with colors. We have shifted our color study to Blue and some friends have expressed that they like sharks so we married these ideas into an ocean sensory table! Something we noticed is how much friends like to play games so we offered Alphabet Island which included our love of sharks and letters. For our sign in we are color matching our color study colors of Pink and Blue by using our eye spy eyes to find items in our classroom that are those colors. We also know how much our friends love to play with food in our dramatic play area so we are color sorting all kinds of foods. Our new word we will be practicing is WANT which can be very helpful in communicating with other people in any setting.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
