It’s a brand new month

Can you believe we are already in December?! After today, only 10 more days of school until winter break….

Yesterday we introduced a calendar visual. We had a discussion about the parts of the calendar: name of the month, year, days of the week, number for each day, etc. An X was put on each stay at home day so they could see how many days of school remain until winter break! We also briefly discussed that different celebrations occur during the month which may inspire further learning opportunities.

Today your kiddo helped generate ideas for activities to help fill our remaining days. We played mystery box for the letter L, explored new ways to play with slime, and even made letters in the Collabratory.

Day 2 Pine Room Fun!

For our invitations we have our small world were we can tell stories about what our families like to do outside. In our dramatic play we are showing how we can care for others, including our baby dolls. Outside we are checking out how fun our giant snail and mud kitchen are.

Today was “the most amazing day” according to one friend! Thanks to PAT for leaving the glow party up for us! We also started working on a project that combines letters and numbers, it’s called a graph.

Not a Box!

Good  morning! Today, Ms. Kim is going to show you what she did with a box she found at home. She demonstrates using the core words and even has a special guest to help her with the video. Have you figured out what to do with a box you have at your house? What did you make? What can you make?  We are loving all of the different things some of you have made out of boxes! Keep those creative ideas flowing!!
